From Mike G.

I went to a place called Sokol Underground, which is a pretty nice alternative/punk venue. I went on Wed. and there were mostly younger kids and their parents to watch their bands, and then one older set of dudes who headlined. There is supposed to be a big time label here called Saddle Creek Records or something, who have a few big acts.

I think I have passed one restaurant, but I can't remember if it is vegetarian or hippie. I think hippie for some reason. It's McFosters Natural Kid Cafe: a vegetarian restaurant in Omaha that has movies on Wednesday nights.

There are lots of little bars that have bands play, but I haven't discovered which ones are the cool ones yet, other than what my sister and her friends say which is biased towards their taste in music and not mine.

I haven't found an indie theater yet, but I am on the lookout. The buildings around here are very cool. I don't know if it is cause it is still so fresh or not, but I like the city itself better than D-burg.

There is also a pretty cool offroad spot just over the bridge into Iowa where I can practice my shit before I apply for Baja, since I am such a pussy on my bike.
